Is it just me or is the online very laggy on all games
I can’t even enjoy playing Mario maker 2 without the game dropping

That free Kirby game is unplayable due to the lag online

The only game that 1/2 decent is smash bros online

ye i seen it in a bunch of games like mariokart and splatoon

some of the games probably has bad network coding and is not optimized good enough for online play,
or the server u are connected to is far away so u get crazy ping, or the players u get matched with has crazy ping aswell

smash works well because they probably optimized it well for online play, because its a competitive fighting game more people play it online

Seems to be that way on the new system they're using for many people (You can watch vids and constantly see it).

I mean I was planning to buy a Nintendo Switch for my son this Christmas, because he already has some games he wants for it including his Fortnite game...

this kinda upsets me

It might be different if u got a strong internet connection
My little cousin was playing fortnite a year ago online
And if I remember correctly it was no lag
It just seems like only Nintendo first party games lags

its mostly the single player type games that can have problems with online play... but most of the online multiplayer oriented games dont

I had no problems with fortnite on the switch, and iirc its crossplatform, which means more players and more servers = better online experience



u dont need a strong connection for online play, can help useing a 5ghz wifi instead of 2.4ghz in some cases, but mostly its on the server side

Isnt there like a hardwired network adapter nintendo said would fix the Smash and SMM2 lag issues in multiplayer? I play more endless then i do versus so i never bothered

Ultimately i dunno how much it helps tho considered low man on the totem pole interweb wise is the person who controls the levels of lag since they become the host
