Holy shock zealer

Never made one before so I'm completely clueless and out of idea on how this works.

1. What would be preferred skill distribution during progress and leveling? Do I first max Zeal, Holy Shock or Lightning Resistance?
What's the ideal end game skill distribution?

2. What would be ideal equipment?
Do I focus on +skills, enhanced damage, or extra lightning damage?

3. What would be preference when it comes to mercenary? I guess infinity but that's an end game goal and I wonder what's decent to use instead?

4. What's better? Extra lightning damage small charms, or maxdmg/ar charms?

read this thread completely and carefully. should answer questions for end game setup.

Early stages of leveling could be done with whatever weapon just like any other character..

1.
Waste a respec and go holy fire until like start of act 4 normal then respec to holy shock.

2.
Grind out early stages of leveling and put points into resist lightning until 20-24 when u go for holy shock.

I normally dont go for zeal until Early nightmare some time because its usually 1-2 hit kills and the mobs isn't thick and fast like nightmare or hell.

+skills, AR, and resistance items until act 5 nightmare. Any weapon works really but spirit (RW) long sword or holy thunder (RW) scepter with +holy shock is great until U get to farming NM meph for what ur looking for...
