For anyone with a pro, what's a preferred cooling method? I have some pretty decent laptop fans, but if anyone knows of a good PS peripheral that's under 30-40 bucks, lmk.

Thanks folks

Mines housed in a giant entertainment center
Its nice during the day cuz it hides it but when i use it i have to pull it out and prop it on a side table because theres no ventilation in the entertainment center and it can over heat pretty fast
The fan is in the back of the system so just make sure its not enclosed, keep it in a open, breathable area and it should stay at a regulated temp

I've kept my original ps4 vertical, and a fan blowing upon the area to keep the surrounding air moving. I recalled seeing a stand/mount with an internal USB fan for the original, but it really only drew air out from from the side it would be mounted to.
I feel the best place to blow air onto is the bottom as it holds the most hardware.

Personally i would try avoiding pointing a house fan towards your system as it can blow dirt and dust right into your console

i just propped mine up on 2 boxes i had from buying the same mousepad
just propping it up seemed to lower the temps by a good amount the air coming out was still warm but it wasnt like like shockingly hot that its going to damage my system
seems like the default pads dont give enough space whatever your ps4 sits on gets hot and then just like reflects the heat back to the already hot spots probably making them hotter
propping it up seems to have prevented this the spots still get hot but now there is an air gap so they get to a point and thats it beefore i felt like my ps4 would just keep getting hotter and hotter

Stacked on top of two rickety tables, on top of a shoebox, in front of my bedroom window, with a Walmart box fan blowing on it sideways, all day, all night.

Also keep your playstations's harddrive empty and use an SSD through usb.

Wipe your ps4 every 6 months and make sure your internet browser is not running in the background.

Plug your ps4 into a well grounded wall socket, or preferably a pluggin bar

Stand your ps4 upright

unplug crap from it. your sister can charge her vibrator elsware

Blow dust from ps4 once a year

remove a couple of the plastic black covers on the ps4 itself, the corner one specificly

Reduce apps to what you use, less is more
