It would be interesting to see what happened to Jessie following the events, or if it's events that take place during the series, that don't change the ending or ruin the shit we already know, it could work that way too.

One theory is that they were using the movie story as a cover for Aaron Paul to film scenes of Better Call Saul. But as the release gets closer, that seems less likely to be true.



I think this movie is more about Better Call Saul than it is about Breaking Bad. They need a 'Jesse story' that they can play off of in order to set things up for Better Call Saul.
