in the original trilogy, Obi-wan famously defends his claim that "vader killed anakin" by saying that it was true "from a certain point of view". The movie was able to pull off some audience misdirection thanks to careful wording.
Here's the scene of TLJ where they reveal the 'truth' of Rey's parents:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZNQYDNKVDuoSaying that they are 'nobody' or 'nothing' gives a certain impression to the audience. But if you take the same careful steps around the words, it does leave it open the possibility that she is a clone. In a sense, a clone's parents
are nobody. The people who sold her off for drinking money could have just been some junkers who found her and were raising her for a time.
Rey being a clone of a skywalker (luke, leia or shmi) would connect her to the story in a way that the trilogy seems to heavily imply in certain scenes.
