Over here it's the Jehova's Witnesses. They steal people away from their family and friends... anyone who isn't in the church is supposed to be either evangelised to or shunned. They're taught to be afraid of non-believers.

they do push some isolation even more so than most but people are people and cherry pick what they do anyway

the LDS church is significantly more about community participation and even more important service, very decent members

I am agnostic but not ignorant enough to refute the possibility a belief may be correct



I try not to dissect why believers do what they do anymore, I am inclined to attribute corruption and delusion but that aside most who believe in something greater than themselves and wish to please it are generally a step ahead of most of us as far as morality is concerned

I mean it's pretty ignorant to tear families apart based on a belief with no rational justification.

I don't care about the beliefs. I care about the actions. And Johos fit the BITE model. They're a harmful cult.

mormons and witnesses are all over the place and everyone generally does fine
