Plan on going dual dreams (helm/shield), dragon armor, but was wondering if it's better to double stack Holy fire with HOJ, or use a Doom as weapon and have Holy Freeze/Fire/Lightning

Would use a1 merc with faith bow for fana, I've never made this build so just looking for information. Thanks guys!

The trio of auras would be cool but Holy Fire damage will be weak sauce, IIRC.

What aura will be “switched on” (i.e. via skill tree)? Conviction?

Yes I planned on conviction being used on Pali, then A1 cold bow merc with faith. Just didn't know if it was better to run doom to have the holy freeze to slow enemies as well, or if I go HOJ should I run a defensive A2 merc with a beast so I can still get (a little weaker) fana?

Never made one so I've been trying to decide lol

So HoJ and Dragon combined will give lvl30 Holy Fire, which seems to add 261-273 fire damage to physical attacks, and ~44 “pulse” damage on the aura. Quite negligible (EFR and Conviction not taken in to account).

The Holy Freeze on Doom would be nice for sure.

Might have a play around with this on SP myself

Go dual dreams, Fortitude (or Enigma) and Grief for the paladin.

For more of a half melee half Holy shock? Would make the damage a little more consistent than the holy shock alone lol

Grief or death, his dmg with death was good but I guess grief +dmg doesn't show on character stats right?

So build:

Dream helm
Dream shield
Fort
Doom / Death (good deadly strike / botd?

Active aura : fana

Merc : Might merc w/ infinity

If I went Doom : Holy shock, holy freeze, conv, might, fana

Death or botd : holy shock, conv, holy freeze (merc), fana



Leaning more to having just holy shock + phys dmg rather than just elemental itself. Has anyone built one of these? I try to research but it's all using HOJ cause auradin lol

Yes indeed, Grief boost is not displayed on char screen.

Physical damage is huge, of course, as soon as you have a good weapon like Grief or Death.
It also allows you to leech back life, so you don't have to worry about using potions.

Physical + Holy shock is incredibly powerful. You'd have less overall damage with auras granted by HoJ, Doom or Dragon.
