So i am looking to get a 2nd monitor.
i believe its best to get the same exact model as the one i have now right? be weird to mix it? i wont be using them for gaming just multitasking for schoolwork.
but also wondering about what type of cable to use? id prefer to use another display port cable but my gpu doesnt have a 2nd slot for 1. is there some cheap adapter i can use? display port splitters look expensive

shaft, why not a splitter? wouldnt that allow 1 port to use 2 of the same cable for 2 monitors?

Why would you want to only use 1 cable there are more than 1 port on your card for a reason

You don't need a splitter.
HDMI 2.0 is enough for your monitor needs.
Just make sure the cables rated as such.
