I bought a ikkegol double footswitch:

http://www.ikkegol.com/ikkegol-usb-dual-twin-foot-switch-control-pedal-game-hid-p-38.html

when i plug the usb in I get the usb disconnect noise every 5 seconds it connects then disconnects over and over and the pedal doesn't work - it also seems to be disconnecting every usb every 5 seconds or so (mouse/keyboard) don't work intermittently

the directions are in broken english but there are a couple of troubleshooting options and I have tried them all

if anyone has any experience with this I would greatly appreciate it and pay you for your time

also when i view the device manager there are 3 things under human interface devices that have the warning exclam when i hear the usb disc sound (HID compliant consumer control device, HID compliant device)

Have you rebooted the computer after installing the software?

Have you tried re-installing the software?

Lastly, I would check the connection itself. I had a USB stick that would do the connect/disconnect if I pushed it in all the way. But when I pulled it back a bit... everything worked fine.

ive restarted the computer many times - i ended up sending them an email and they recommended installing different versions of the software all of which had the same issues

i have also reinstalled the software they use a site pcsensor.com so ive dl'd the most current one a few times

i have fiddled with the usb as i saw someone also had tried that for another usb issue so i thought why not but it also didn't help -- i even had amazon send me another unit and both had the same issue

Okay so an update for this and maybe this isn't the issue but it says .net framework 3.5 is required because the pedal needs framework 2.0 which i guess is part of 3.5

When i go to my windows features (where .net framework is located) i see net framework 3.5.1 which doesn't say it includes 2.0 - one picture shows it should say [.NET framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)]

I download 3.5 and install it but it still dosen't show under the windows features

So I guess my question is do you think I need the 3.5 or does the 3.5.1 include everything and if I need 3.5 individually how do I go about finding it in windows features

Thanks for the help

Version 2.0 is in all versions of .net Framework.

You can only see it through Windows Explorer (or w/e they call it now).

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET and either the Framework or Framework64 folders. Like the commercial says: "It's in there". :D

If you have exclamation marks in Device Manager, you need to deal with them first. That's probably what is causing the reconnect noise every 5 seconds.

i have 3 ! - (HID compliant consumer control device, HID compliant device) but i can't seem to figure out how to fix it. When I update drives it says they are all up to date and then they disconnect/reconnect on an endless loop.

I think I'm just going to have to send it back but I can't find any others that seem like they would work

When you DON'T have the footpedal hooked up... do you still see the exclamation marks in Device manager?

Could it be a power issue?

Spit balling here but I had a friend one time who had a very low end Power Supply and if he tried using more than 3 USB ports the 4th one would freak out and constantly disconnect because there wasn't enough power to run it.

Also, could it be a compatibility issue with USB 3.0 v USB 2.0? Does the cable that you connect the foot pedal with have a blue outline inside the USB part? That designates it as a 3.0, if it doesn't maybe ensure you are using a 2.0 port instead of a 3.0?

Good luck brother!
