in short football fans generally have poor impulse control, pay ridiculous amounts of money to sit half a mile above the playing field and drink $12 beers and heckle each other because they can't see what the ants are doing on the field. you never see NBA brawls in the stands except for one instance and it was because of world peace and wallace, two upstanding citizens who never did anything wrong.
