He's a center right Republican with a temporary legacy that shit posts

that's all he is.

With the exception of the shitposting he is like the rest of them. Americans didn't really wake up they just switched from a robot grifter to a snake oil salesman in the creepy tent at a county fair

He was never going to help the people he lied to just like the rest of them. His trade wars have immediate consequences on his own base

He runs off moderates for no real reason at all pretty much daily

Americans didn't wake up all they did was put hope in a different style of liar.

If they were waking up Yang and Weld would be higher on the list. Nah they are all playing the same game just choosing different characters

Weld just represents the pre-trump status quo on economic and foreign policy, coupled with a centrist, common-sense stance on cultural issues. Why would any disgruntled and/or struggling voter support him?

because character should matter especially when you're just getting a center right Presidency anyway

The more people struggle, the more their priorities shift from "has impeccable character" towards "gets shit done".
For Trump, being perceived by his base as ineffective is a lot more dangerous than being perceived as a scoundrel or narcissist.

Imho, Trump understands this intuitively, and it's why he constantly tries to come up with small, symbolic "wins" for his base, even if there is little substance behind them on many occasions. "President Trump delivers" is the single-most important narrative of his entire reelection campaign if you ask me.

On the flip side, Clinton's campaign outspent Trump's by a 2:1 margin and had an unprecedented degree of unified support from business, intellectual, media, cultural and entertainment elites, all throwing their weight behind her.
And Trump's campaign was a chaotic trainwreck from start to finish.

Btw: Voting districts had nothing to do with the outcome of the presidential race.

Trump hired Cambridge Analytica to fix him the win. How is that chaotic?

I’m just wondering if the constant critics of Obama, including the racists and near-racists, have any regrets about their bullshit on this forum during the Obama years.

All of the hooey about debts and deficits was just a show, wasn’t it? Come around to see that Obama was actually pretty much a centrist? Regret nurturing the vile atmosphere we now have with President Dipshit? Prepared for the Trump vs Sanders or Trump vs Warren, AKA Awful vs Terrible 2020 election and 2021-2025 shitfest?

I don't remember what kind of mean things I said about President Obama. I vaguely remember mean things I've said about users on this forum, but it honestly feels like a lifetime ago. I'm much more medicated and well balanced now. Most of my time here was as a libertarian, so espousing those beliefs is my biggest regret. In the old days, I was just a ultra-capitalism fanboy working as a mouthpiece for multinational corporations. President Obama was a disappointment. He didn't do anything to stop the erosion of the American middle class. Where I stand now, Warren and Sanders would be fine by me if they dropped their white bashing narratives and promised tighter immigration controls.

I don't think my psychotic libertarian ramblings are what brought President Trump to power. Ethnic identity is real, and that had a lot to do with him winning over portions of the white working, lower, and middle class.

The cutoff name was plasmasnake, probably the most racist of them all!

I have never, in my life, spoke ill of anyone or any group of people on account of their race, gender, or sexual orientation. Not. Once.

All major political campaigns make use of pollsters, analytics companies and PR agencies.
However, the Trump campaign have done something that's normal doesnt mean that the rest of the campaign was normal as well, or well-structured.
