I commend the Officers for doing the right thing and bringing in the perp rather than shooting him

Like, insanely commend them, need to be dealing with all situations like this. Ask questions first, shoot later is a good approach. If they continue that approach, I guarantee less of those neighbourhood folk will been in arms next time.

The neighbours getting at it with the police, I mean, that sucks. But there is so much negative news about cops these days it is easy to grit your teeth at them sometimes.

I commend the neighbours for not losing their shit and being able to have cooler heads prevail to ensure no more violence took place.
