Can you play D2SE SP characters with friends via opened battlenet?
Or any other way?

Or is it just available for vanilla d2 ?

U can with programs like hamachi etc.

No you cant. Open bnet only for actual patch and unmodded gsme.
Mate and i play d2se 1.09 via hamach, eg.

Not sure about open net, but tcp/ip you can, as people have said, via hamachi.

I can't run normal D2, it says that I have compatibility issue.
D2SE runs normally.

I tried running it as admin as windows xp, but doesn't work. Running win7
