test the battery, and then test the alternator (in case it made your battery bad...)

we had 2 trucks from the same company come in the shop within a week apart complaining the truck wouldnt start anymore

both got towed to the dealership and as you guessed both fuel tanks were empty

Battery low from constantly trying to start it? You could have gotten bad gas.

Also clean your throttle body. I had your exact same car, it would die shortly after starting it. The throttle body was gummed up.
