Nn bolding "fun" and asking what?

I don't know too much about mods, I know I can do as little as throwing a turbo on it. As long as oil is changed those 2.2s are bulletproof. The 2.2 was 03-05

That's weird. The LNF 2.0 out of a Cobalt SS holds the world record for most power produced out of a 4 cylinder at 4000hp. But they are dogshit in terms of performance?

Same engine line and you said to buy a japanese 4 cylinder so I'd assume you mean all American 4 cylinders are garbage as you're basically saying any Japanese engine is good.

In that range, yes Japanese 4cyl are much cheaper and easier to get power out of, American manufacturers had 4cyl vehicles, but they were still putting most of their R&d in the v8

I'll throw 8 lbs at a d16 with 200k miles without thinking twice, try that with an ecotech and let me know wats left

If he actually wants to do serious engine work/swap, I'd still recommend a k20, it's relatively cheap and there's a reason it's so popular

That is completely biased. I had a cobalt ss with 150k with 21 pounds on stock turbo. You don't seem to know enough to make these accusations. you're basing your opinions off of no facts or reasonings or proof why would one last 200k and the rest won't. Americans have been making fwd 4 cylinders for well over 25 years now. You act like they started 6 months ago.
