So I used a VPN whiling playing d2 and well, it resulted in an IP ban.
Looked into it and found out, vpns get you banned.

Contacted blizzard support and they stated id be banned until Aug 7th. (This was a couple days ago) and anyone familiar with diablo knows if you made a character they expire within 10 days.

Well i have about 15 mules in that state sadly

Anyways here is what ive tried

Cmd Prompt ipconfig /release and renew
Contacting my ISP and them just telling me that my ip changes once a week.
Also cmd prompt netsh winsock reset catalog

Went as far as getting into my modem/router but that was unhelpful (I am using a all in one from my ISP COX which doesn't allow me to do the clone mac address for force a new ip)

So, it seems like I am coming down to one solution but I feel it wont work, but I was planning on upgrading anyways.

Buying a new modem and seperate router in attempt to force a new IP but I am unsure if this will even happen?

If they expire and no one takes the name cant you log on them and refresh them or is that still not a thing?

I have the same problem, ip banned bc VPN and haven't played in like 2 weeks.

but yea, seems like a normal time frame for first time VPN usage is 2 week ban so you might beable to play now

Your mules, it used to be when they expired and no one took the name you could refresh your character.

Yea, most of mules should be safe lol

Take a laptop to a library asap

If you name your miles good names and I make a toon with that name it gets deleted
If you make them with a name of

Didotjeodoshwbrbt type stuff it’s harder for them to poof

and rest is asjdnbhjwbnhq

but I got a work around,. thank god for mobile hotspots lol
dont know why it took this long for me to figure out
