I think its out of control and ruining lives, after 8 pm 60% of television advertisements here in aus are for gambling.
Between slots, sports gambling, greyhounds and the track all wanting their spots its hard to avoid all the adverts and it must be hell for real gambling addicts.

Difficult to say. Pretty much anything that gives an artificial dopamine rush can become extremely addictive and ruin lives. Should we also ban porn, video games, and junk food then?

I do agree there should be much stricter rules about advertising gambling though. Pretty ridiculous that on Twitch streamers openly promote shady gambling sites to audiences of underage viewers. Similarly, I don't think it should be advertised on TV at all.

all gambling is degenerate but I am fine with people doing it especially when I am profiting off their addictive degenerate behavior
