Was it as boring as I've heard, or are people just complaining because it's not nonstop action?

I know you and I don't always agree on movies, but your critique's are usually thought out and even if I disagree, I can see where you're coming from. I'm debating about seeing this next week, but I've heard bad things online so far and none of my friends or the posters on here who I trust, have posted anything, so I'm sitting on the fence right now and hoping for some more input before wasting $60 at the theater.

i regret paying the 6 dollar surcharge it cost me. it was just long and drawn out and pretty much entirely linear. like a shitty version of arrival.
