If my computer is randomly restarting once every couple of weeks. I assume its hardware issue.

Would you personally scrap this build and build a whole different computer?

Could be a variety of reasons, typically I would assume it’s software related until first ruled out.

Is it bsod or random restarts without bsod?

None tbh, I wouldn't be upgrading personally and if I did it would be gpu.
His hardware is basically what I have but slightly weaker gpu/cpu and I'm fine atm.

I wouldn’t upgrade either TBH. I guess it really depends on why OP is wanting an upgrade

I forgot the model exactly. I will verify when I get home. I know it is a 750w PSU EVGA if I had to guess.

Like once a month or so after running for awhile it just restarts on its own. Ill be in the middle of videos and gaming and itll just restart. No screens or anything pops up.

Idk where to start to diagnose something like that is my problem.

Reason for upgrade is because I just want a faster computer and I want to be able to get better than 1080/60

monitoring voltages, stressing it to see if it crashes, swapping it

Might wanna check the power supply voltages. A program like the free HWMonitor can do that for you.

for $500? nothing. if you had $650 i would upgrade cpu, mobo, and ram.

buying a new gpu would be almost pointless because that i5 will bottleneck hard in heavy graphic games
