i wonder how many people bought on the way down. like as the housing values started to crash and thought "in 10 years i'll be rich, i'll sell all these properties for double, and even just the land is a return on my investment", to now own properties that have been squatted in, burned down, and are worth 1/10th of what they paid, even 40 years ago. the saddest thing to me about Detroit are the theaters, it once had the most grand theaters in the whole US. now they're either burned down or way too far gone. great fodder for /r/abandonedporn but not much else.

that whole "worlds most dangerous game" plot has been done to death, but alas Hollywood cant make new things these days. The Condemned with Stone Cold Steve Austin already did this whole movie lol. and we've had like 20x "it's 2050, prisoners need to win in a deadly game of ____ to earn their freedom" movies.

On Tuesday, a user posted on 4chan a letter that was allegedly from Christchurch shooter Brenton Tarrant.

The letter was posted to the /pol/ message board which is known for its graphic images and content. The user wrote “A couple of months ago I sent a letter to Brenton Tarrant and today I finally got a response”

In the initial post, the user, who says he lives in Russia, showed the addressed envelope with a stamp that reads “Auckland Prison”. The return address is that of Paremoremo prison and the name above it read “Brenton Tarrant”.

Most replies on the thread said that the letter was “fake” and accused the poster of forging it for attention. But according to Newshub, the department of corrections in New Zealand confirmed that the letter was legitimate and should have been “withheld”.




Would love to read that letter, but I get lost on 4chan in about 3 seconds. :D
