Problem started 2 days ago. When the motor is revved or when I accelerate, my volt indicator on my dash pegs to the max and my stereo/light shut off.
When car is at idle volts drop back to normal and everything turns back on.

Thought issue was in alternator. Took it to starter/alt. shop and had it rebuilded. While it was there shop showed no issues with alt. Also had no AC leakage.

Put rebuilt alt on car and still has same issue as before.

Please help.

if they didnt replace the voltage regulator rewinding the alternator wont do shit to fix the issue.

Try checking your belt for slippage. When you're revving or accelerating it could be causing the belt to slip which could be making your voltage fluctuate.

Had the alt looked at again and it showed it was over charging. Getting it fixed, again.
Hopefully this fixes mt issue.

Was really worried this was going to be a big problem.

I hope thats figures it out. Shit like this sucks. Had an Audi TT (loved the SOB) but it would die if not started after like 12 hours. Quick Jump and I was good. Had a few people look at it, a few nights at shops. No one could figure the electrical shit out. So I hope its an easy fix soon.

After getting it fixed a 2nd time. Everything is fixed and running. I think the rebuild place did a poor job the 1st time. Had to get the owner to get it done right.

edit: I agree though, electrical issues can ruin a vehicle fast.
