No. Not needed.
Use your calculator on your phone or on the computer if you have a issue calculating big trades.

It's an interesting suggestion, but unfortunately not needed as pretty much every device on the planet these days has a calculator on it. Do the calculation 2-3 times if you feel you're going to make a mistake. Regarding the "juggling" of windows, simply use alt + tab for easy window scrolling! :)

you should be confirming the final (total) price before a trade anyway - in the event either of you made math errors.
If the deal is 200orbs at 39fg a piece, you should do the math (calculator or mentally), and confirm with the user: 7,800.00fg vs 200orbs, correct?
This all happens before gold has to be sent - thus you already have the total calculated.

Easy and prevents misunderstandings

I appreciate the idea behind your suggestion, but due to the reasoning above, voted no.

Only if we had a "two-step" FG sending system. Ex. had a confirmation window stating are u sure you want to send *calculated total* and required your gold password at that point.

But we don't and users are stupid, so no.

No, introduces more ways to screw up / make mistakes than it attempts to solve. I see your point but it's not hard to calculate the sum up front and I suggest to always explicitly agree on the full deal in beforehand anyway (e.g. "buying 10 pieces of item X for 50 FG/e, that's a total of 500 FG").

Agree with this - voted no.

If you needed/wanted to collect this to keep record could always just put it in your comments? Otherwise - calc yourself :p

No. Most operating systems have a calculator. Use that, instead.
(Win 10: if you've uninstalled yours, you need to grab one from the Windows Store.)

I tend to rely on my algorithmic calculus to solve the mathematical equations involved in my daily trading here

also, in a more serious tone; I don't believe this is necessary. while I see how it would have uses, it adds complexity to a system that is safer within the confines of its own simplicity
