Kronos already gave you the best advice possible, nothing to add. However, as far as decimating chaos quickly, that really comes down to your perspective. A godly barb can be quick but it will pale in comparison to a mediocre pala. In single player run, that is.

In full games, there's no comparison. Even with the godliest gear and charms, a barb will take time to chaos. If chaos is your only objective here, a chaos barb would be more suitable. It has more or less the same gear.

It uses berserk for tons of damage and howl to scare monsters and just focus on bosses. It would be the fastest chaos runner as far as barbarians are concerned. It can also MF too.

just did a couple runs in p1 and in p8 with the titan barb downloadable from my profile (ww.d2s)
and honestly in p1 the ctc decrep of reaper is nearly useless
about 95% of monsters die before they get decrepified
and it's not like you get any significant bonus from the remaining 5% getting decrepified, they often would die in 1 ww anyways

pride is 20% more dmg, all the time, which is just better for p1
the merc does survive better with reapers of course

If FG is not a factor, pick up some Grief of Destruction PBs which are significantly better than regular Griefs or Death, Cham the Guillaumes and switch Raven Frost out for another GG Blood Craft.

If you're looking to do Fast Chaos runs, Berserk is better than Whirlwind.

In terms of merc setup, for p1 Pride will probably outperform Reapers Toll but you probably want to play p8 if available anyway. For fast Chaos, A5 Lawbringer Merc is also a good option since it lets you Telestomp DeSeis safely.

You only want to kill the seal boss and ww is going to land most of it’s hits on the entourage.

pretty sure the time to kill diablo is more than the time to kill all 3 seal bosses combined
and diablo will die to ww much faster
and if you tele into de seis and zerk with a titan barb you just die. You need to cast howl, and if you do howl, you can ww without hitting collaterals

the balrog is the only one where zerk should save time, but i'm not sure that's enough saved time to make up for diablo taking forever

I’d say that’s a pretty massive exaggeration. Zerk kills Diablo extremely quickly- and howl is just defensive - when monsters flee, most of the time they will still be running through your ww radius for quite a while.
