ill just post in here and see what you think

i have two 144hz monitiors
i plug them both into my graphics card
one i plug in with display-port and the with hdmi
but now my refresh rate on my monitors is like 20

could this be because 2 different cords?

I dunno bro. I'm old school... still use ONE 60 Hz monitor. I would ask.. Yupitsmeh he has like 5-6 monitors all running at the same time.

Just about anyone but me would have a handle on this kind of problem. Most everyone BUT me has gone to multiple 144Hz monitors.

The ONLY thing I really know about it... is you need a powerful enough vid card to push the resolutions and refresh rates.

/e I believe that a GTX 1070 will handle hard gaming... at 144Hz at 1440P resolution.

I would not run 144 and 60 windows hates this.
Now as for your issue it could totally be related to the cord or the hdmi slot (both gpu and monitor) rating.
