I’m planning to upgrade my pc for cyberpunk 2077 to play it on high graphic settings with 60+ fps ( got a 144hz monitor so it would be nice to achieve same fps, if its even possible with my CPU)
I’m comfortably playing almost all games with decent FPS but I think I need much more power to enjoy ultra full hd cyberpunk when it released.
Current pc does like 90-150 FPS in Overwatch(middle settings), 70-100 FPS in Witcher 3 and 40-80 FPS in bf1
Here is my setup:

CPU
i7-4770k, @ 3,5 GHz (thinking about scalping it and boosting a bit, like to 3,9 GHz or so)

GFX card
Gtx 960 2gb

RAM
Corsair ddr3 4x 4gb 1666 (dunno if i should boost it, it works fine and never used all 16gb i think)

Motherboard
Asus z87-k (i can't tell why i didn't bought something a bit more expensive)

Power Supply
Zalman ZM700

Disks
HDD - 1Tb
SSD - 240Gb

All parts are like ~4-5 years old except GFX card, its ~2 years old

So my questions is:
Would it help alot if i upgrade my GFX to GTX 1070Ti (or even 1080Ti) or my power would bottleneck with CPU?
Do i really need to boost my CPU and how much i could win by scalping and boosting it?
Is there any reason to upgrade my RAM to 4x 8gb? Don't think i ever used all 16gb even with 10+ chrome pages, video playing on youtube and playing any game

I would absolutely love detailed answer if i could have it)
Thx!

u can upgrade gpu without cpu being bottleneck.. my guess would be about 1070 or so before cpu would be bottleneck..

dont know anything about cyperpunk 2077, but depends alot on the game engine what kinda hardware u need, some will require good cpu for high framerates

16gb ram is fine.. most new games dont use more then 8-12gb.. but having faster ram can benefit in some games, so dont upgrade ram unless u are going for ddr4 and new cpu

So in summary you have literally nothing to suggest (based on facts) aside from don't buy ram unless you buy a new cpu/mobo.
Why even post?

Being as this games not out till next year I suggest you wait.
Games still in development and with that being said many things could change, what works now may not work then.

he asked what kinda gpu he could get before his cpu would bottleneck.. i told him about 1070

he asked if he should get more ram.. i told him more ram will not benefit him but faster ram might (ddr4)

but yea games not out untill 2020?? building a pc for it now might be a problem.. but he could look up the game engine, check other games and benchmarks

first you based that off of what? cause you clearly have no fucking idea about his resolution.
secondly you have literally no idea how much ram this game could use, your speculating.
third anything he looks up is once again speculation so why even bother.

no fucking idea about his resolution? why so mad? its probably 1080p

anyway got curious and looked it up myself.. cyperpunk runs on redengine 4.. which is probably just redengine 3 with ray tracing would be my guess..

witcher 3 runs on redengine 3 so that will give u an idea.. also game is announced for current gen xbox and ps4.. so i think u will be fine

Thx for answers guys)
I thought it was clear enough. Im planning to play Cyberpunk at 1080 with Ultra graphic settings, and hoping for 144fps
I know that game is still in development, but thought someone might know its specific requirements by reading forums or smth like that. I tried to google it, but cant find proper info in few minutes so i didn't try more)
I was hoping that buying 1070 is a good idea and my CPU won't bottleneck it, and i got an answer)
