positive environment
discipline to minimize stress
stay off the booze and drugs

the usual things but a big one is get your individual stress managed

stress is a big factor and minimizing that and training yourself to reduce it and manage it makes a big difference.

therapy is a great tool if you can afford it

all these things really have the same answers if you can't handle it yourself with the above then you do what you can to get therapy

it's treatable and it'll change your life for the better when you get more control over it so no excuses of why you can't do A B C

like anything if you put in daily productive effort you will very likely see positive results

shift from negative things in your environment into positive things

identify negative habits and replace them with positive

Don't sit and do nothing. Shit doesn't get better by sitting around doing nothing

... It's exactly the right place to ask about this. So many of us on here have had anxiety and depression at different times. Anxiety for me was a show stopper for a lot of my life..

Most of all SLEEP.

Deep sleep is 90% of recovery. If you can't sleep- don't lie in bed thinking. Go run, can't run? Get an exercise bike. Exhaust yourself every day and sleep well every night.
