So with infinity I’ve read it should break most lightning immunities.

Is there a point where the merc’s infinity and -light res from my gear would stack to break all of them? For example if Lord De Seis spawns with lightning enchanted.

Also does any infinity break the majority of them? Or is -55 significantly better than -45?

-res only helps the wielder. so it only helps your merc.

also -res doesn't affect immunes
it's lvl12 conviction that breaks immunities, when monsters have 100 to 116 resist

1. Yes, most immunes are broken.

2. No, it doesn't work that way. -res only takes effect after the immunity has been broken. Never before. I.e. if a monster is still immune, after conviction, -res doesn't work. If a monster has its immunity broken after conviction (less that 116% lighting resistance) -res works.

3. -res is always helpful but only for you. -res from infinity only works for merc.
