recently got back into CSGO after some years and i got this problem now :(

I have 150-300 fps constantly and low ping, all of the sudden my game starts stuttering like hell on public DM servers and even worse on workshop or vs bots when i want to practice some nades to refresh my memory, the lag stutter is insane but fps is high... but weirdly it does not stutter on official match making servers and plays smooth it seems...wtf?

I have recently bought 144hz monitor, thats the only thing i have changed
i have tried reinstalling csgo on a different SSD but still same issue its annoying. I want to get back to playing on FACEIT or ESEA again but id imagine it will stutter on there.

I have fairly old PC but it does the job and i never had issues with it

I7 / 16GB DDR3 ram / R9 280 3GB / 500 GB SSD

been playing overwatch without problems on it, no lag, just cs

Any ideas please? its doing my head in...

I have some stutter nowadays as well with my rig, but have no idea how intensive it is on your side...

It could be literally everything;

cs-go files problem
too little space on ssd that it's on - some of them can bump down hardly when they are around 8% or less (caching)
problem with vram on gpu (too bigh resolution for your little 3gb of vram) - tho here I don't think that should be problem, I used to rock gtx 770 with 2gb, tho back then I had 1680x1050 res...

I think I'd play with cs:go cfg settings first, maybe that's the thing killing your performance...

well whats weird is that its fine in MM but anything else stutters like hell...public servers playable but stutters, workshop or vs bots literally unplayable, stuttering like mad but no fps drops

all my temperatures are fine, i have no idea wtf is going on, been googling but no solid answer so far, not sure what to look for in cfg

any ideas ?

Maybe it's something with the optimization from workshop that is killing performance for you and others?

The question is - is it happening as well if you ramp down let's say resolution, or some settings? Or maybe thru years they ugraded Source engine somehow, and that 4770k is loosing in those scenarios...

I would try to run some vs bots games, and try to run as many as you can locally, to check what would be the difference
