You only think hammerdin is better due to weak mechanical skill. There are practically no light immunes in CS that you need to worry about other than seal bosses which your Merc will handle very quickly. The sorc will clear out the rest much faster than a Hammerdin. You also have faster cast frames.
As far as survivability goes , both of them are practically immortal in CS. You can’t telestomp with a sorc but you don’t want to anyway - lite sorcs need good positioning to hit their AOE so you should be teleporting strategically to hit the maximum number of monsters. If you are going faster with a Hammerdin, it suggests you are wasting a huge amount of time clearing straggler mobs or that you suck at positioning.
