What is the best act/difficulty to shop a +2din +3 blessed hammer on diablo 2 classic?

Act 1 Akara with cow portal opened is always faster. Avoid normal games, then all depends on your char level.

higher lvl chars = higher iLvls shopped so you open up a bunch of potential higher lvl mods like replenish life

best is drogan nm, cuz small szepters = more szepters in screen - shopping lvl should be around 58 imo

There's some wrong information in this thread.

First, the "size" of the item is not a relevant variable here. That is, nightmare Drognan does not spawn with more Grand Scepters than hell Drognan War Scepters. Indeed my bots tend to get just slightly higher scepters per refresh on hell Drognan. Ormus spawns with even more scepters, but is not worth your time unless you can move him to the waypoint (exploit).

Secondly, Akara is no good. She spawns with less scepters than both Drognan and Ormus. Furthermore, there's a delay on the cow portal that makes refreshing her slower than refreshing Drognan. Akara might be good if you can somehow circumvent the cow portal delay, but absolutely not otherwise.

Thirdly, the optimal character level for shopping a 2/10/3/3 War Scepter is 55. Clvl 55 = ilvl 60 at vendors. Higher ilvl scepters spawn Priest's of the Apprentice less and ilvl < 60 never spawns Priest's. For grand scepters the desired ilvl is 57, so clvl should be 52.

Therefore, unless you've access to private exploits, the best way to get a 2/10/3/3 is by running Hell Drognan with a level 55 character for a Priest's War Scepters of the Apprentice. If you prefer the Grand Scepter look, do nightmare Drognan with a 52 level character.

Where you get that info that best level is to be either 52 or 55 there’s no way that’s close to being right.
