Hey bros,

Been stick @ 265-275 bench for like ~2 years now.

No matter what I try it feels like I'm not progressing at all. Anyone else been stuck on soley bench for a long time?

All other lifts are always increasing... But not bench -_-

181BW

265-275 bench
545 deadlift
445 squat
195? OHP (actually strict)

I'm a lean lifter with long arms (hola lack of mechanical advantage) but feel like I should still be progressing towards 315 by now...

Me... Candito has a good bench program, do more horizontal bar movements like rows, bench more, blast your triceps.. And eat more.

Where does your bench get stuck at? On the chest, half way up, lockout?

One thing my buddy introduced me to is a lot more dumbell chest workouts, but also when I went to max he threw 405 on the bar, knowing I couldn't do it

He had my lift it off the rack, hold for a second, rack it, drop it to 315, then try. It happened to work and that's the most I've tried/attempted to date. Might not have been his little trick but it could have fooled my brain into thinking differently.

Yah I like canditos stuff but usually he hardcore on one lift for a cycle and usually I just don't have the time to do that but maybe need to make the time and are 10% in 6-10 weeks with 2-3x benching a week.

Not in one spot really, just depends on the day but more often in the middle as it transitions from pecs into triceps. Been incorporating more heavy tricep work to see if that helps.

Sometimes that mental trickery will work but usually it's with 10-20 pounds and not 90+ lolol sounds like a good way to die on BP

Thanks, never thought of doing that!

For real though, I've done cycles of 2-3 bench days per week and was just unable to recover quick enough to be effective after the first week. So unless you have advise on HOW to bench more without fatigue...
