It could be a simple programmable solution. Judging by the users Post Count + FG you have X Months until your name goes into name limbo.
And remember, nothing is deleted, the email is still registered, the fg remains the same, the profile, the ladder slasher all info is saved just the ACCOUNT NAME ITSELF goes into limbo after X months.
Every account upon creation could be given a default grace period of 1 year until their account name goes into name limbo.
A person with 0 posts and 0 Fg thier name should go into name limbo after 1 year.
Then maybe for every 250fg they own, there is a 1 month delay.
So someone with 0 Posts 16,000 fg, they get 1 year and 64 months a.k.a. 6 years and 4 months until their name goes into name limbo.
Maybe for every 1,000 posts it extends their name from going into name Limbo for 1 month.
So a person with 5,000 posts and 2,000 fg would get the default 1 year + 5 months for post count + 8 months for fg total which would be 2 years and 1 month.
This system would weed out the non-participating members faster and allow the members who were more established a larger grace period.
since this would be a cosmetic quality of life upgrade, how about a new text string below Guild: <HERE>
could have something like aka: <YOU TYPE YOUR COOL NAME HERE>
