This isnt homework but a question im not sure how to solve

My wife recently took a test and received some pass/fail info as follows:

First time pass rate is 82.6%
First time fail rate is 17.4%

55.1% of students pass in 100 questions
12.9% of students pass in 170 questions

4.3% of students fail in 100 questions
7.1% of students fail in 170 questions

A little background on the test- it is written where if you get the answer correct you get a harder question and if you get it incorrect you get an easier question. Once the test determines you are competent it shuts off. The minimum number of questions you can take is 100 and the maximum is 170. It can shut off at any point in that range. So the question i have with all this is:

If your test had 170 questions what is the chance you pass/fail?

Greatest chance to fail.

If you got everything right it would stop at 100

Well the test it shuts off once it determines you to be satisfactory so you are praying it says you are done once you complete question 100

My wife only got 100 questions and then it shut off but she was asking me about a classmate that took 170

They recently got some more feedback from classmates and so far 3 have gotten 170 questions and 2 have passed and 1 has failed i believe 4 or 5 have only gotten 100 questions and they all have passed

total of pass fail of people that take 170 questions is 12.9+7.1=20

so 12.9/20= 65%
