OK tested few things regarding off casting.
It is crazy but requires really good gear. So offcasting is off table for now.
Started again from scratch - dagger and axe, lights and wilds 😁
And this time wont play if I do not have good wifi or 4g. At all.
Try Melee/Casting hybrid.
It all depends on gear as you stated, however, there are some items that can benefit both... and items that benefit Melee / Cast and Heal... I did this on SC like 10 years ago before many of the updates.
