its a tricky one..

1. it says 24gb ram, but its actually 8gb + 16gb intel optane

2. would rather have an ssd insteal of optane + hdd imo

3. the asus one has a better gpu for pretty much same price

4. the asus might have better cooling, again look up reviews and make sure it doesnt throttle to bad, cooling is important in a gaming laptop

I’m kinda set on a 17” now, between the 15 and the 17 is the size noticeable?

I found this one
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-G3779-7934BLK-PUS-Gaming-Laptop-Display/dp/B07BXWHSRW/ref=sr_1_2?crid=8OUXE1JDKLEJ&keywords=gaming%2Blaptop&qid=1558555000&refinements=p_n_size_browse-bin%3A7817234011%2Cp_36%3A68000-95000&rnid=386442011&s=electronics&sprefix=Gamin%2Caps%2C607&sr=1-2&th=1

There’s not a ton of reviews so I have no idea if it’ll overheat or how hot it actually gets

Seems like not many 17" models out there :/

I think the asus one i linked is better, for less money.. but if u must have 17" i'd say go for it

I dont think the difference is huge, but sure every inch counts =)

Man I’m torn, haha. I’m not sure what I want to do. Dell is also having a Memorial Day sale and their g5 15 is only $650. Similar specs to the msi you linked :/

It had ton of reviews about it over heating though. The one guy posted a video with it literally over heated playing quake in under 3 minutes

E/ it’s still on sale too, lol
