Basically I drive 2 hours a day round trip to work, so I listen to my music/radio a lot.
My car has just the stock audio system and it's okay but not the greatest. One thing I've found is that sometimes the quality is really good, and then all of a sudden the quality will drop out like it's playing from a distance.
Looking to just upgrade the system so it sounds good tbh.

1: What is the Year, Make, and Model of the vehicle.
2: What is your budget?
3: What exactly do you want your outcome to be? (Good sounding music, or loud bass?)
4: And specific sub sizes that you prefer more than others?
5: How much trunk space do you want to use up?
6: What type of features are you looking for in a CD Player (aka Head Unit)? (Ex: USB, AUX, BlueTooth, etc)
7: What type of music do you listen to?
8: Is your stock stereo system amplified? (You may or may not know this)
9: Do you have Steering Wheel Controls? (Volume/Seek on the steering wheel)

1: 2011 Chevrolet Malibu
2: Would prefer to keep it under $500 CAD, but I'm not sure how much these systems really cost
3: Would like to have good sounding music that has consistent quality.
4: I don't need a dedicated sub, but I'm not opposed to one either if the price is right
5: Lot's of trunk space available, but would prefer to not use it if I don't have to.
6: AUX and Bluetooth would be nice.
7: Pop/Dance/Electronic
8: No Idea
9: Don't think so.

Thanks in advance for ur guys' help ^_^

Do you live close to the boarder? U can save a lot of money buying on a .com website and shipping to a mailbox just across the line.

Sounds like you can get away with just a head unit and speakers. The aftermarket head unit has a mini internal amplifier that puts out a lot more power than a factory radio.

For 500 CAD you can get a decent head unit, speakers, and external amp. The amp will allow you to get more powerful woofers and take care of your bass without getting a sub.

Of course nothing hits like a sub but most dance electronic music needs more mid bass than really low range. If you like hip hop and dub step a sub is 100% needed lol.
