nor should there.
Let me tell you a story.
I pm'd a guy yesterday about an item I wanted. Its a legacy item without many people selling it (about 100 sellers online), and many of the prices seemed outdated. The guy I pm'd didnt have a price listed so I started by simply asking him his price.
Furd: Price?
Him: Offer?
Furd: 5ex, thats what the first few ones listed are going at - how does that sound?
Him: Fuck you, adding you to ignore list.
Its as if the guy selling doesnt even want to sell his own item. No offer is too low if the buyer is realistically interested in the item. You just say "I was looking for Y, lets negotiate. Instead you have a hoard of bread dead children getting personally offended because you didnt magically guess the number they had in their head.
This shit happens ALL THE FUCKING TIME, and I promise you I never lowball for an item I actually need. As a seller you have to have some inkling of the value of the item youre selling if youre looking for an offer (if not just say its not for sale, or youre not sure). If you didnt know what your item is worth you would have no idea if my offer is good and worth taking or shit and worth ignoring. 90% of the dumbasses that respond "offer?" to a question of "how much for X" are just lying in wait for you to overbid and then get disappointed when you inevitably dont.
Imagine you walk into a cornerstore looking for a loaf of bread and when you get to the counter the cashier says: "offer?" And then he shouts you out of the store when you dont offer more than what the ther guy down the street charges.
Trading in this game is fucking cancer. Its possible to make bank flipping from people that dont know better, and an AH would ruin that, but id happily exchange some profit margin for the lack of Glioblastoma
Oh, and not to mention you cant even sell a thing without actually being online...This post was edited by Furdtarmer on May 10 2019 09:30am
