Haha logged in to check stats on my legacy ripper, saw vaal orbs, bricked it.

Total noob question since I just returned to the game from 2014. All my standard items from back then are they considered legacy or is that only a tag from 2.6 patch

Items that were nerfed in future patches but maintained their current stats are legacy.

So would that include my original stash then since they from patch 1. Something

Not every old item has been changed and and not every item thats changed has gone legacy. Some changes are retro-active and shift stats of all already existing item stats.

Look at the wiki for your items and youll see a log showing older versions of stats and the new ones (if there are any). You can also hover over items in game and press alt to see if some stat has rolled outside the possible range for the item - that indicates its legacy too.
