Hey guys,
I haven't been keeping too up to date with recent hardware and I was curious if you could help spec out some nice laptops for running solidworks for 3D modeling and assemblies.

I have have a budget of around $2,000 and I haven't decided between 17" or 15.6" laptops so both are on the table.

I know for a fact I'd want at least 512gb on an SSD for storange...and the rest is up to you guys for hardware combinations.

Let me know what you guys have seen or can come up with!
Thanks!

Thanks!

Looking here, it seems to only have workstation graphics cards listed https://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtesting.html
Would solidworks still run well on something with a 2070 or similar?

I dunno bro. These benches might help... but they are for Solidworks 2013

The scary part... I went down as low as an Nvidia Quadro P2000...

Gtx 1080 Ti is about equivalent to a 2080

This one seems more well rounded too...think this will run well using solidworks?

Well you can see the benchmarks just above.

/e From all the info I can find....they say the CPU is most important part, 32GB of RAM is minimum. I found recommendation for best Solidworks laptops, and they had everything from a 1050 Ti and up.

I would think the only other thing that would be important is the resolution, the higher the better.

I would think that one would be fine if you can deal with HP. :)
