/ee From what they ARE showing you....it seems there are two RAM slots in your laptop.

/eee No, you can't just buy a 16GB stick and add it to your 8GB stick. Well, you shouldn't. Your specs say you have 12GB of RAM, not 8GB.

Indeed I have 1x 8gb stick and 1x 4gb. I'll look into that website when I'm not working, luckily my birthday is next month so I'll have a bit more money to throw towards it.

Are the laptop cooling docks worth it? Do they actually help?

Samsung Evo 970 or a PRO if you want it to last longer and just buy two 8gb sticks RAM. Completely replace all sticks if you want 16gb. Personally, I wouldn’t even upgrade the RAM. 12gb is plenty.

I didn't say Crucial was bad, but I would get Samsung because it has 3 times the performance for 2 times the cost.
