That'll give a huge clue as to what: Hardware, process(es) or network issue(s) you're experiencing and will help in diagnosing the issue causer.

Maybe the issue isn't the graphics card or maybe it is.
If you can reduce the lag that's being caused else where: He can play on a higher graphical setting for the given game(s) or programs. It cost nothing compared to spending some money.

Alternatively, I guess you could take the Google (Android) route and just throw hardware at the issue as opposed to addressing the real underlying cause of the issues (band-aid vs. true change).

No, the gt 635 is just a really low end graphics card. New ones would be literally 10s of times as powerful.

That's pretty beefy, even by today's modern video game's standards!
Unless you're trying to play on a native 4K HDR YRGB screen with 144Hz G-sync and/or some other features... It should suffice at 60+ FPS on everything.
