I think Intel avoids that by employing 12,000 contract people every day.
So they're not directly employed by Intel. There's very few blue badges (Perm employees)
They take the best of the best off their floor from other large companies working to meet the end clients goal (Always Intel, as for it's so big here)

They literally spawn industries and work where ever they set up shop.

I've been told a lot of the Field Service Tech's end up getting offering jobs if they're good and have a positive attitude.
Which I normally have both. I'm hella fake at work when I'm truly upset though so I probably always seem positive.
At least mechanics come naturally to me.

Cross my fingers this turns into a 100K/year career as a maintenance tech directly for them.

Just keep your guard up for how the corporation life is. It'll probably be more bureaucratic and political than you like at times. Build a reputation of having a strong backbone and being reliable, and you'll have a very nice future there.
