Having a name with a period in it makes it so I can't change the caps of the characters in my name. This is something I'd like to be able to do. Sometimes I get bored my account name and wanna change the caps around.

Why should you be able to use the illegal characters but not the rest of us? Remove the dot and add something else or come up with a completely new name if you must.

It's already on my name though? I shouldn't be forced to remove it just so I can namechange. I love my account name

All I wanna do is change the capitalization, like INFINITY. or just Infinity.

Crowd point of view, it would be unfair for those who can't use those illegal letters. Be thankfull that you weren't forced to remove it!

I personnaly voted yes, because you seem to care a bit. If it makes you feel special, and therefore more happy, I don't mind with it.

Edit: I do prefer "infinity." over "Infinity."

A pointless addition that caters to a very small group of users. Good chance too that others don’t even care, so it really probably would only pertain to you.

Voted yes. Everyone else is just super jelly of you so they cry because their account names are dumb.

I had the same problem as you, ended up having to remove the illegal chars and make a completely new name.
