Does anyone know why a "GE62 6QD Apache Pro" from the brand MSI (computer from 2016) will only play Single Player Diablo 2 (from ...1999?) ... at 9-10 FPS/10+ Skip?

I have all other close-able programs closed... What could be the problem here??

Thanks for any tips

I don’t know anything about computers, sorry. I thought the make and model would tell a computer savvy person all they needed to know. It’s not modded out or anything, it’s a direct from the store Apache pro.

I’ll try to find someone locally who can let me know, thanks for trying!

Try using a different desktop resolution & disabling sync. Although I don't think this should be the reason for such a low fps, doing both of the things I said can increase fps in D2 tho

Awesome thanks I'm going to try that now

e/ it seems to be fine in town, 45-50 fps/0 skip in town. But once I get amongst all those trees in Dark Woods it instantly drops to 10 fps/15+ skip haha.

D2 is just too graphically demanding. I'll try to do some of my own research on google rather than the lazy route of just bugging all you guys haha. I'll post here if I figure it out in case anyone else finds themself having a similar issue in the future.

Running in Windows xp service pack 2 already
Tried window mode - no difference at all
Tried glide wrapper and results were the very same as with Direct 3D

Thank you for your suggestions though, I appreciate your time and willingness to help out an idiot
