Dolls Explosion -
- Is this a standard corpse explosion with 50% fire + 50% physical damage, or is this 100% physical damage?
- How much damage are they doing?

Vipers in Nilathek area
- What kind of projectile attack are they using?
- Why does a 25DR everlasting amulet protect my weakling sorc from dying?

Thanks in advance..

Dolls deal purely physical damage when they explode (~10% of their HP). The little fuckers can crit that damage so whirling through 10 in row hits hard.

Tomb Vipers have an attack that acts pretty much like Plague Javelin but with a weird buggy stack. e/ misread your last point, like kronos said you probably null the damage even though it hits quickly.

dolls death dmg is physical

if boss doll is fire enhanced, then some extra fire and phys damage is added

iirc, poison clouds of vipers deals relatively low phys dmg (and insignificant psn) at insanely high speed

you are getting the damage if you are moving in the cloud and in order to avoid the damage you should stand still

but even if you are not moving, your minion (merc, summon) may cause damage if he will be moving in the same cloud

Hmm... mainly still the open question is "everlasting" vs viper projectile damage.

Say they do a million damage a second.

They really do 100 per micro second.

If you have 100 damage reduction (Not %) then it completely negates that million damage a second as it's spread per hit many times in quick succession.

In real terms, say they do 300 total.

say they do 10 damage 30 times.

All you need is 10 damage reduce and you will take 0.

Thanks Vilify --- now I remember, it is damage reduce per frame at 24fps. That explains why the sorc does not get hurt. So, that would mean the vipers are doing Physical + Poison damage?

The relevant part of the viper's damage is physical. Although if I remember correctly - that damage goes up to around 40ish per instance so you will still be taking damage with a 25PDR ammy.

That said - the ammy is kinda useless because 99.99% of people just teleport right past the vipers before they even get a hit off. The remaining 0.001% = Wisteria and kronosHardcore who insist on killing every monster they encounter for some reason.
