Because i can name three american multinationals who have paid zero tax in australia in the last 5 years.
Exxon for example.
Surely if the majority wanted them to pay tax then our political system would make this a reality.
Fact is though we are an oligarchy and a political party will give up 10 billion to the public for a $20,000 donation to the party without a second thought.

Why is it possible for example to take a loan from your parent company at 28% ineterest then claim this as a business expense and claim it as a tax deduction?

Which was....the majority of people do not think corps should pay 0 taxes. Poll your company, see what results you get.
