It has been a while, but I believe you are correct. To gain prof points for like fishing, cooking or transmuting after level 71, they are ignored? However, if your character level is above 71 (say 75), and your rank is 71 transmuting, you can still transmute Tier XIV (level 55) items and gain prof points. Now as for fishing, if you are using a level 55 Rod and your character is level 75 and you have a Rank of 72 fishing... you can still gain prof points.

But then again, are we there yet?

I think after the rewrite that you need 71+ to MQ all the skill professions and other ways to earn exp are capped at 70.
So would be nice if that cap would be removed so you can gain experience no matter what level you are and no matter what skill professions you are doing or if you wearing jubilance gear.

Okay... you gain experience while in catacombs (per kill) and gain more experience using +Jub gear, also, if you are sitting in town, you gain experience points from level 1-70 ... but not after level 70. This is what you are referring too with this thread.

Above is the latest change to Jubilance.

I will concur that +Jub should work from level 71+ ... BUT, only if you are in a catacomb and killing, NOT sitting in town. (based on changes made about + Jubilance).
