I am buying an iMac, for which Apple says the criteria is PC4-21333 2666MHz DDR4-SDRAM

On Amazon, all of the 2666MHz DDR4-SDRAMs are mentioned as PC4-21300

I could not find a comparison or difference between these two anywhere. The closest info I have is below.
PC4-21300 from
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIMM

PC4-21333 from
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR4_SDRAM

The first link is about DIMM and the second one is I think the production version of SDRAM 2666MHz RAM.
So are they both the same? Also the Memory clock is very different between both the wiki pages for PC4-21300 and PC4-21333

Any insight on this?

I didn't think the RAM on new iMacs was even upgradeable.

that makes a significant difference. Now what is weird is the requirement on Apple says PC4-21333 and 260 pin count

Nice to see them add user-upgradeability again. That's been a no-go since about 2012 (and only the 27" model is...21.5" units are still not). Looking to be proprietary clocks on that RAM, but haven't done enough digging yet,

I think the 27 inch was upgradeable on the previous gen as well. not sure how it was around 2012 though :P

if it says 260 pin on apple then its probably 260pin they mean.
its probably exact mhz number vs a rounded number by a marketing team.
