1st 4770k barely any glue to remove used lm like 10c difference
2nd. 4770k crap load of glue to remove like 15c difference
4690k crap load of glue just under 20
4790k crap load of glue 15
7700k crap load over 20 looked like ihs was like raised up quite abit from the glue
8700k barely any glue under 10 degree difference this one annoys me used 3 different coolers too guess i don't get all cores at 5 amd under 75

All were pretty much clocked same after from profiles and ofc lm

7700k made biggest impact though
Made friends chip overclock over 5 ghz and thermal issues were non issue haven't heard any complaints either

ok, i was gonna say... bad roll lol.

you can increase the avx offset if you haven't already. that might keep you under temps during loads while maintaining 5ghz everywhere else.
if you've already tried that, then ya you're pretty much stuck if you want those temps during bench and consistent load.

edit: if you are using an asus board, you may be able to undervolt a bit as well.
the MCE comes auto and boosts voltage passed max settings.

what kind of comment even is that?

why do we even bother having discussion threads if this is the case.
