I dont think its the combination being hard either, more like the timing and surprise factor of it coming in from the right angle being quick with your moves but that is the same for every other char. The only difference is hdins usually get punished when they miss a smite or get stuck in a minion with charge and tbh its pretty easy to avoid getting smited in the vast majority of the cases.
